The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, as amended (Recovery Act), appropriated $610 million to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Of that amount, the Recovery Act allocated $150 million for Public Transportation Security Assistance and Railroad Security Assistance (Transit Grants) under sections 1406 and 1513 of the Implementing Recommendations of the 9/11 Commission Act of 2007, as amended (hereinafter referred to as Transit Security Grants).
